McAfee, McAfee, McAfee.
Now this is one sad company. They send out updates (don't most people have their anti-virus software on automatic update?) and kill everyone's internet access.
Now, if you are unlucky enough to have no other means to access the internet, you're probably screwed. If, on the other hand, you have more than one computer set up to access the internet, and you were smart enough to not have the same anti-virus software installed on that computer as well, you can find the answer.
The answer is, McAfee lacks good QA.
Ok, McAfee sends out an update, it gets installed. You lose internet access. McAfee finds out about the issue and send out an e-mail to their customers that have had their internet access killed.
How stupid is that?
That rates right up there with putting this line in an e-mail, "Let me know if you get this".
Really people?
Now, McAfee will have you do some work to fix a problem they created.
Let me see if I understand this. McAfee comes into your house and breaks something, doesn't tell you.
Now, you are left with the mess. Problem is, to fix what they broke requires you to do some work. If I recall correctly, I go to work 5 days a week, and I get paid for the hours I work, but I having to work to fix what they broke, and no one is paying me.
I fixed it. I also got rid of McAfee. That was strike 2 between McAfee and me, I'm not giving them a chance at strike 3.
